Really pretty happy now. You could buy only this guitar and a foam sanding block and steel wool ($5) and spend 30 min on youtube and be pretty happy. On the flip side, if you aren't willing to try the set up (I'd never done one before... pretty simple if you watch a little youtube), you'd be better off with a $200 squire set up by a music store. With my effort I think I am all in about $125 and have a superior guitar with Fender American tuners, String trees, Tusq nut, Ernie Ball strings, smooth neck, good action, etc... I am really really happy.

Bought this guitar for $75, and wasn't expecting a whole lot. It arrived very quickly, and when I unboxed it I was surprised how pretty it looked. Picked it up, and it was very light,which I'd read from other reviews. I have a couple pretty heavy guitars, so I like the weight of this one. When I played it straight out of the box I was a little worried because It didn't sound very good. Once I put a new set of strings on it and lowered the action, however, it played beautifully and stayed in tune ...

The first guitar I received was damaged. I took pictures and notified Glarry customer service by email. They promptly contacted me and replaced the defective guitar. This guitar sounds, feels and plays better than my '95 Mexican Strat. And because it lacks the sentimental value of such, I am inclined to customize the hell out of this guitar and have an everyday player. Very impressed by this product, and it has opened the door to my considering other Glarry products. Thank you, Glarry, for a simple, usable instrument that saved money in my wallet, and a trip to Guitar Center.

Picked this guitar up for Nephew who is interested in learning to play guitar. For the price you can't beat it. after slight truss adjustment played very well. no sharp frets or fretbuzz. When I got this guitar I was truly amazed, the neck was slim and had a nice satin finish that was really smooth. And to my surprise, there was no fret sprout or anything. I received my electric guitar (yellow) fast. Upon opening package I found all items to be accounted for and no damage was noted. I immediately plugged in the guitar and tuned the strings. I was amazed by the sound. I measured the guitar against my Fender Tele and found out the size was the same as the tele. Easy to tune and play. I have now replaced the strings that came with the guitar with size 10-46. The larger size sounds much better. The price was as great. I play it every chance I get. Tha ...

Best budget guitar on the market. Surprising quality for the price. A very playable guitar with a very nice finish on the body. The maple neck is unfinished and a little rough to the touch. Hand sanding with 400 grit followed by rubbing in a little fret oil makes it smooth as silk. Excellent beginner guitar. Maple finish now looks beautiful. Frets came solidly installed with no burr. Neck pocket good. Guitar body good with nice paint and finish. Upgraded pickups to Fender MIM because I had them but the pickups that come with the guitar are ok for practice play or beginner. Switch and pots low end but ok. Knobs are good. Gre ...

I've got $300 guitars that are not any better, and some that were, as a matter of fact, not as well finished as this one out of the box. If you're new and want a solid starter, get it! If you want something you can hack around on with mods, GET TWO!! If you want a guitar that's OK with being tossed in the car to go jam with friends, HELL YEAH! Spend a little bit of time learning how to set up your guitar, and practice on this. I got it easily playable (intonated and string height adjusted) in about 5-10 minutes. (and then promptly wrapped it for tomorrow's Christmas Eve gifting). I'll getting myself one of the tele models soon, because at these prices... well, I can always find room for another guitar.
